Hi Lake Neighbors!

Every year we put on a really fun party on the street for Valentine's Day with pancakes/breakfast food & your neighbors. For several years it has been held over on the corner of E. 19th St & 11th Ave (right by that famous neighborhood median Buddha alter).

Spread the word!
It is a very sweet event, try to get there!  Bring your loved ones or come solo & see your neighbors!  Or both!
LOVE! & MUCH Friendship...Sasha

Happy 2014!

Hi Lake Neighbors!!!
Hope your 2014 is starting off joyfully and peacefully and that we are able to see eachother a lot this year in the events that are becoming tradition and also in some new ones.   If you have Gmail, you may want to switch us to your Priority folder so you won’t miss anything because we have grown to well over 400 which puts us in a lot of people's mass email tabs.  : )
We had a really strong turnout and it was just a great time.  All the hosts (& host supporters) went ALL out.  Thank you to all the hosts and host supporters (Ruby, Debra C, Mary T, Aaron & Molly, Jessica B, Richard B, Laura J and Andy B.) for opening up their homes and for going all out and feeding so many such a generous abundance of food and drink(BTW, if anyone is missing a black scarf, let me know.)
If you are up for putting on an event this year, tell me early so we can get it on the calendar and get it happening.  If you want to make something happen that you feel passionate about and want to get the word out, send it my way, too.
Our next event will be our annual Valentine’s Day outdoor breakfast cookout…then next some type of Mother’s Day event…possibly a Father’s Day event.  We will likely have outdoor movies again and, of course the Progressive New Year’s Eve Party.  : )
In early November we plan to do a Holiday Gift Faire featuring local artists who will be given a free space to sell/trade/show their creations and for local musicians to play throughout the event (with refreshments and collection boxes to help others).   Neighbor Javier made contact with someone who facilitates innovative people-connecting events that hopefully we can make happen, too.
Happy, HAPPY New Year Lake Neighbors!
MUCH Friendship,

Sasha
