FunkTown Farm - Welcomes SPRING

Hi Farmers,
Just wanted to send a quick note with some updates of life on the farm.

FUNK TOWN NEWSLETTER

WATERING SCHEDULE:
The watering schedule is full (thanks guys!) Watering volunteers should have gotten an invite to see the google calendar with their assignments. I'm trying to figure out how to get it to send you each a reminder based on who's spoda' do what, but I'm not that advanced on google yet....

SATURDAY WORK SCHEDULE:
Jess will be at the Farm to host an abbreviated work schedule from around 10am to noon.
(NOTE: IF YOU ARE FREE CONSIDER ATTENDING THE COMPOSTING WORKSHOP INSTEAD OF GOING TO THE FARM THIS SATURDAY)

Some things that need to be done on the farm are:
Turn Skye's compost note into a wooden sign. See Jess for wood and paints or a permanent marker.
Turn the Compost. We want to make sure it gets movement at every level, even when it's low.
Add sticks to the compost. While it's low, we want a good base of woody things that brake down slowly and allow air to pass through. Help Jess collect the pile of sticks that the city left near my house.
Plant the new flowers. Jess can help you figure out where.

COMPOSTERS NEEDED:
Skye Livingston is the new Compost Queen! She needs a team to help her manage it so good dirt is made faster. Please contact skye (yogaskye@gmail.com) if you'd like to be on the "composting team."

COMPOST CLASS ON SATURDAY:
Skye recommends this to ALL gardeners who add to our compost or any other compost. Consider attending the class like volunteering at FunkTown (since it's the same time this week) And, its FREE!
